Modern modpacks around like Technic/Tekkit?

Here we go… I've found myself caught up in this Minecraft resurgence phase, and like many of you – I haven't played in years and now I'm back!

But the thing is: My real love for this game and all my nostalgia is all the way back in 1.2.5 with Tekkit. Even when Tekkit Legends was released in 1.7.something, I stuck with Tekkit Classic. I never really left Minecraft 1.2.5.

Tekkit's appeal back in the day – and still now – were IndustrialCraft and BuildCraft. I stuck to Classic because Legends removed Equivalent Exchange, but I think I could live without it now.

Seeing as Minecraft is at least 12 major releases removed, and my old version is beyond archaic: are there any modpacks like Tekkit around nowadays? Or is it all dead?
